{"id":781,"date":"2019-05-11T10:49:05","date_gmt":"2019-05-11T16:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nevadacreek.com\/?p=781"},"modified":"2019-05-11T10:49:05","modified_gmt":"2019-05-11T16:49:05","slug":"water-update-5-11-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nevadacreek.com\/?p=781","title":{"rendered":"Water Update  5-11-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>May Stream Forecast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NRCS released their Water Supply Outlook Report last week.\u00a0 There isn&#8217;t much change for the Nevada creek drainage since the previous month.\u00a0 The current projection is 109% of normal stream flows for both the May-July and May-September periods.\u00a0 The Nevada Ridge snotel is currently reporting 12&#8243; of s.w.e. (snow water equivalent) remaining, and this upper level snow has begun runoff in the recent few days of warmer conditions.\u00a0 For those who are interested, the full state-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/nevadacreek.com\/water_files\/docs\/forecasts\/current_forecast.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Water Supply Outlook Report can be downloaded here<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/nevadacreek.com\/water_files\/docs\/forecasts\/BFcst_5_2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stream forecast tables are available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Douglas Canal Liner Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work on the Douglas Canal liner replacement project has progressed well in the recent 10 days.\u00a0 After sitting through the winter, the work section was re-compacted before we began the installation of the new epdm liner.\u00a0 At current, we have completed that installation and the longitudinal downslope anchor has been completed.\u00a0 The gravel ballast layer has been laid onto the canal floor, graded &amp; compacted.\u00a0 We plan to begin forming up to pour the concrete lateral anchor points and downstream drop structure this Monday, the 13th.\u00a0 These concrete structures require two separate pours with a little cure time in between, but we will hopefully have these completed by the end of this coming week.\u00a0 Currently, we hope to have all work completed and have the canal operational no later than May 21.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/nevadacreek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/D_canal_liner_5-9-19-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/nevadacreek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/D_canal_liner_5-9-19.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click for Enlarged Image<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May Stream Forecast The NRCS released their Water Supply Outlook Report last week.\u00a0 There isn&#8217;t much change for the Nevada creek drainage since the previous month.\u00a0 The current projection is 109% of normal stream flows for both the May-July and May-September periods.\u00a0 The Nevada Ridge snotel is currently reporting 12&#8243; of s.w.e.
