February Water Supply Outlook Report
The official February Water Supply Outlook Report was released late last week. The full state-wide report can be viewed / downloaded here, or on the Snowpack & Precipitation Reports page. The chart for the Upper Clark Fork drainage (which lists Nevada creek) is shown below. This current forecast has dropped slightly from last months, now sitting at 97% of normal for the 50% chance of exceedance level.
Note that the reservoir storage listed for Nevada Creek Reservoir is incorrect, mistakenly listing last years storage for the current. To view our actual current storage go to the Current Reservoir Measurements page.
Also, I’ve added a “Projected Capacity Date” field to the Current Reservoir Measurements page. This projection is a calculation based upon the current reservoir storage, current total inflows, and current dam discharge at any given time. I have used it effectively over the past couple of seasons and thought that it might be interesting to others as we enter into the spring run-off.
